Hi! My name is Catalina Alarcón López, but everyone calls me Cata, and I’m really happy you’re here on my blog.
So, a little bit about me: I’m a 22-year-old girl currently living in France while studying my master’s. I’m Colombian through and through, and that part of me never changes. I love playing sports, hanging out with my friends, cooking, and spending time with my family whenever I can.
I created this blog because I want people to discover Colombia in a real way, not just what appears in photos or what the news decides to show. Living abroad made me realize how unique Colombia is and how many stories it has to tell, so I wanted to open this space for that. A place where people who aren’t from my country can get to know it, visit it, and maybe even fall in love with it the way I did.
Here you’ll find a bit of everything: places to visit, what daily life looks like for Colombians, stories and experiences from tourists, typical food, traditions, myths, legends, and a whole mix of things that make Colombia what it is.
My hope is to change the image you might have of Colombia in a positive way and that you feel excited to share this blog with friends or anyone who might be interested.
